In this role, you will:
- Manage the QA team, including manual and automation engineers
- Build, improve, and prioritise QA processes and activities
- Owning release quality decisions
- Decide when test automation is needed and when manual testing is more effective
- Estimate testing activities and analyse potential risks based on business priorities
- Be able to step in and execute complex UI, API, and WebSocket testing across platforms when required
- Participate in writing automated tests within existing automation frameworks
- Analyse complex issues and manage the full defect lifecycle, including root cause analysis
- Own and maintain QA documentation
- Contribute to feature analysis and provide ideas for improving product quality and user experience
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional team processes
- Engage with teams across all departments to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on quality goals
- 5+ years of experience in software testing
- Leadership experience: ability to mentor engineers and set QA standards
- Experience in writing automated tests using automation frameworks such as Playwright
- High sense of ownership and responsibility for product quality
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture
- Understanding of which type of testing should be applied to a specific feature
- Experience in analysing and validating requirements and design, including asking clarifying questions, exploring business logic, and suggesting ways to improve the product
- Experience in testing cross-platform products
- Experience in log analysis for debugging and issue investigation
- Experience creating test cases, test documentation, and defect reports
- Experience testing APIs (REST/WebSocket) and working with SQL
- Familiarity with AWS services
- Understanding CI/CD processes
